Platinum PADI Course Director; Holly Macleod who has been working in and around
the diving industry for the best part of the last 13 years. As well as being a
highly experienced Course Director and having been the highest certifier of
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors in Indonesia for the last few years Holly has
devised a schedule that gets the best out Instructor candidates and allows them
to start a rewarding and successful career within the scuba diving industry.
The PADI IDC Indonesia program is run every month on an 11
day schedule, but candidates are strongly recommended to arrive a minimum of 4
days prior to the start date so as to take advantage of the pre-IDC workshops
that take place in the pre-IDC preparation. The IDC preparation is basically
designed to review the Divemaster skills and knowledge required for the IDC
Course. It is also a good period to start working on some dive theory.The Instructor Development Course take place in the
classroom, the swimming pool and in the ocean. During classroom sessions
candidates will participate in a number of mandatory presentations as well as
some additional presentations prepared by Holly the Course Director. These
presentations may include The Open Water Diver Course, The Rescue Diver Course,
The Divemaster Course, preparing Open Water Presentations, preparing Knowledge
Development Presentation, Conducting Open Water dives, CESA and Descent
techniques, Adventures in Diving Course, Teaching PADI Specialty Diver Courses,
Rescue Workshop, General Standards and Procedures, The Business of Diving, Learning,
Instruction and the PADI System, Start Diving (Diver Acquisition Programs), E’s
sales workshop, Marketing Diving, Keep Diving (Diver Retention)
Pool Sessions will include Rescue Workshop and development, Confined
Water Presentation practice, Skill Circuit mastery and DSD workshops
Open water sessions will include More Rescue Workshop and
development sessions, Student Control workshops, Open Water Presentation
practice and CESA workshop
