During the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with
Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod candidates will receive a level of
training far beyond that generally found within Industry. As well as providing
the required PADI IDC syllabus, Multi Award Winning Platinum PADI Course
Director Holly Macleod has devised a number of additional components on the
program designed to not only provide the highest quality of professional dive
education.
The program is offered every month at Trawangan Dive; the
first PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) to be established in the
Gili Islands.
The dive center is physically one of the largest on Gili
Trawangan and is one of the highest scuba certifiers within Indonesia meaning
that once the IDC is finished new instructor will get the chance to team teach alongside
highly experienced PADI scuba diving instructors. Professional level divers
will find the very best of world class facilities on offer creating the perfect
instructor level training facilities. All of this combined with the very best
of training available.
The PADI Instructor Development Course in the Gili Islands
is entirely run by Holly Macleod, who has a massive reputation for instructor
level training within the recreational diving industry. Having won multiple industry
awards including those for the overall quality of her instructor training
programs and her sheer commitment to the recreational diving industry.
Having a wealth of experience within the dive training
industry and having worked in a multitude of dive related work roles in many of
the international diving destinations around the world she is perfectly
positioned to advise new scuba diving Instructor about potential job
opportunities and what to expect from potential positions within specific geographical
locations. During the program there are a number of unique workshops which have
been designed in accordance with her extensive experience to enhance the
quality of training provide and to add some additional information to help new
instructors with the transition into working life.
During the course candidates are introduced to the PADI
Online Systems; therefore looking a everything from looking at the online
classifieds to certifying students through the PADI PIC online system
DSD Conduct and Conduct workshop are included in the PADI
IDC Syllabus, but during the program this will be extended allowing candidates
to practice methods of conducting the Discover Scuba Diving Program in the
safest possible way whilst providing the best possible underwater experience.
Additional workshops include dive site set up and management
workshops, student control workshops which are designed to teach candidates how
to set up their training site to conduct the particular program they wish to
teach. For example taking a Discover Scuba Diving Participant on an underwater
experience requires a different setup and procedure than dive 1 of the Open
Water Course where the students are still entering Open Water for the first
time. Similarly, Advanced Open Water Diver Students are more experienced and
therefore require an entirely new setup, procedure and conduct. These PADI IDC Indonesia Workshops are
conducted in a dry format on the beach and in Open Water.
PADI are always updating the various core components of the syllabus
and the latest update is with the Adventures in Diving Program, which is now replaced
with the new Advanced Course. During the course in the Gili Islands, candidates
will learn aspects of both the old and the new course. Find out more about the
changes in the PADI Advanced Course by checking out PADI IDC Indonesia Advanced Workshop.
Other additional features of the program include a range of
group based activities, designed to enhance teamwork and sight the value of
working within groups. To find out more information about the program check out
